Jack in the Box Inc. Announces Franchise Development Agreement in Texas

August 29, 2007 // Franchising.com // SAN DIEGO – Jack in the Box Inc. has signed a franchise development agreement to expand Jack in the Box® restaurants into the Texas market of Midland/Odessa. The agreement is part of the company's strategic initiative to grow the Jack in the Box brand by increasing franchise ownership.

The company signed the agreement with Michael Norwich Jr., a veteran Jack in the Box franchisee who currently operates 12 restaurants, to open five restaurants in the Midland/Odessa area. The first restaurant is tentatively scheduled to open in early 2008.

Earlier this year, Norwich received the Small Business Person of the Year award for the state of Texas from the U.S. Small Business Administration, an independent agency of the federal government that provides assistance to small business owners. Each year the Administration recognizes one business owner from each state for his or her business success.
