Movita Juice Bar Expands in Northern California with New Franchisees

August 26, 2024 // Franchising.com // CALIFORNIA - Movita Juice Bar is thrilled to announce the continued expansion of its brand in Northern California with the addition of its newest franchisees, Mario and Saray. The husband-and-wife duo exemplify the values of hard work, dedication, and a shared vision for success - qualities that have driven their personal and professional journeys.

As first-generation Mexican Americans, both Mario and Saray come from families that instilled a strong work ethic and a commitment to seizing every opportunity. Reflecting on their upbringing, Mario shares, “We both started working at a young age to help our families through challenging times. Those early experiences shaped who we are today and taught us the value of perseverance.”

Mario’s career began at the age of 15 as a barista, and over the years, his dedication propelled him through various leadership roles. From managing teams at Home Depot and Lowe’s to launching his own company, Navar Textiles Incorporated, Mario has overseen operations that now supply over 150 stores across Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Southern Oregon.

Saray’s entrepreneurial spirit was cultivated in her parents' family business, where she worked throughout her childhood. Despite her busy schedule, she excelled academically, graduating as valedictorian and earning acceptance to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). While pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Biology, she contributed to groundbreaking research in Ophthalmology, with her work published in two medical journals. After eight years in the healthcare industry, Saray transitioned to Northern California to support her family, focusing on raising their two sons. Now that her children are in school full-time, she is eager to re-enter the workforce alongside her husband as they embark on their new business venture.

“For the last five years, we’ve dreamed of opening another business and spent countless hours exploring different options. When our friend, Hugo De La Cruz, introduced us to Movita, everything clicked. We're passionate about healthy living and are excited to promote healthy food alternatives in our community. We believe in the Movita concept and are confident it will thrive in Northern California,” the couple shared. Their goal is to open 3-4 Movita Juice Bar locations in the region within the next five years.
