Another Broken Egg Cafe Elevates Brunch Experience in Wichita
Nation’s Leading Upscale Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch Restaurant Brand Continues Nationwide Expansion in Partnership with Local Entrepreneurs
September 26, 2024 // Franchising.com // WICHITA, Kan. – Another Broken Egg Cafe is ushering in an unmatched, exceptional brunch experience to those who love Southern-inspired food and amazing customer service in Wichita, where local entrepreneurs and Wichita State University graduates, Jonathan Peterson and Jacob O’Connor, are carving a legacy for the award-winning brand. The cafe will officially open its doors and start welcoming guests on September 30.
Known for its Southern-inspired menu offerings with innovative twists and signature cocktails, Another Broken Egg Cafe is situated at 4862 East 35th Street North, just across the street from the Aloft Wichita hotel. This new location marks the brand’s 103rd location nationwide, and third in the state of Kansas.
While this is Peterson and O’Connor’s first Another Broken Egg Cafe location, they bring a wealth of entrepreneurial experience to the brand. In college, the dynamic duo successfully founded and operated Wichita State University’s first name, image and likeness (NIL) business for collegiate athletes in the area. Today, as active community members, they plan to deepen their engagement with the community through Another Broken Egg Cafe and open two more locations in Wichita over the next few years.
“We’re excited to elevate the Wichita dining scene with Another Broken Egg Cafe's exceptional breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings featuring Southern-inspired food and beverages,” said Peterson. “Jacob and I have poured months of hard work and love into bringing our first cafe to life. We can’t wait to share our favorite menu items, hand-crafted cocktails and mocktails with our friends and neighbors in the community.”
During their time at Wichita State University, Peterson and O’Connor cultivated deep connections within the local community. Through the Barton School of Business and O'Connor's podcast, the duo has built a strong network of successful entrepreneurs who they're grateful to call mentors. They hope for their cafe to be a regular meeting ground for the entire community, but especially those from Wichita State University who invested so much time and energy into them during their undergraduate career.
Offerings at the Wichita location will include core menu items with broad fan appeal like the Shrimp ‘N Grits, Chicken & Waffles, Lobster and Brie Omelette, Huevos Rancheros, Southern Chicken Sandwich and more. And, for a limited time this fall, guests can indulge in new and returning seasonal offerings like the Lobster Hash Benedict, Pumpkin Waffle, Maple Spice Cold Brew and Blackberry Smash Mocktail. Kids can enjoy classic breakfast offerings including Chocolate Chip Pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate syrup, the French Toast Sampler or the Little Rooster (scrambled egg, fresh seasonal fruit, English muffin and baked bacon). The new location also features an enticing and modernized environment where gourmet food and beverages – including a full bar with signature cocktails, mocktails, mimosas and bloody marys – come together to create a highly memorable dining experience for all.
“We’re delighted to expand our presence in Kansas with passionate entrepreneurs like Jacob and Jon,” said Paul Macaluso, CEO and President of Another Broken Egg Cafe. "During their time with our leadership team for training, I was impressed by their strong work ethic and commitment to fully embracing our brand’s purpose, vision, mission and values. I look forward to supporting them as they share our chef-inspired dishes and drinks with their community in Wichita."
