March 25, 2025 // Franchising.com // Springfield, MO: Big Whiskey’s U is a fully immersive training program designed to support and set up franchisees for success. The training program includes both in-person new store training and an online learning platform.

In-store training starts with a tenured new store opening team being onsite at locations five weeks prior to opening. With their training process, they work diligently to onboard employees to the Big Whiskey’s approach to best-in-class operations and service. The program builds each week, increasing the intensity and demands. By the last week, all the new employees are prepared for rush hours, customized orders, and top-notch service. They do it all with a sense of purpose that Big Whiskey’s is more than just good food - it’s a gathering place for friends and family to celebrate their big moments.

The flexible, modular online training component allows training to be done on a smartphone or a store computer, making it easily accessible. While scrolling through Big Whiskey’s U training, an employee will find everything from videos, to presentations. Engaging videos are uploaded regularly whether they are created for continued learning or updated for the onboarding process. 

Also available are presentations and quizzes to help deepen employees' understanding of the brand and all it has to offer and evaluate their progress. The training program ensures franchisees have everything they need to continue to improve operations and service with new and existing employees.

The training program, Big Whiskey’s U, has been built by people who started in Big Whiskey’s restaurants — former servers, hosts, and team members who understand the business from the ground up.  Their passion and firsthand experience make this training program uniquely effective, equipping employees with the skills and confidence they need to excel.
